It is believed by some that young criminals should be punished as the same as older ones. This essay attempts to shed light on both merits and demerits of this tendency before concluding that I partly agree with this opinion.

On the one hand, it is understandable that teenagers should not be treated in the same way as adults when they commit serious crimes. First and foremost, teenagers do not have enough abilities to be fully aware of what it is negative or positive. This is because the cells in those brains are not fully growth, which means they could analyze an action or story in a wrong way. Thus, there are some crimes that they accidentally get, not on purpose. For that reason, polices should give them chances to fix their mistakes which they do not want to cause on purpose. Additionally, governments could take advantages of those young workforces in numerous part of fields, such as in working or studying. Specifically, there are many young prisoners who are talented in many works waiting to use their skills and abilities to fix their mistakes. If councils sentence them for too long, they would accidentally ruin not only those youths' future, but also national future. For that reason, polices could implement the years-reduction commands as gives to young prisoners who are trying to become better to let them devote for their country.

On the other hand, there are a multitude of reasons as to why I am convinced that young criminals has to be punished as the same way as the older ones. An explantion is that the committing faults is becoming infamous among youths. Take Japan as an example, compared to the past when scammers were mostly around the age of twenty, that age now is decreased to sixteen and it has the sign of getting lower. For that reason, punishing those criminals like the older ones plays a key role in warning other youths the consequences if they commit serious crimes. Besides, treating young people as growth ones could indirectly deterrent adults. To explain, when an adult see the punishments implemented on younger ones, they could realize how serious those penalties could be applied on themselves. As a result, this could contribute to the work of reducing the rate of crimes among old people.

In conclusion, while it is irrefutable that governments should not punish young criminals like the way national leaders are doing with the older ones, but I would contend that those youths should be retributed as adults because the rate of committing faults is declining and it could indirectly warn adults about the consequences if making mistakes .
