As children are easily influenced, when they would be over-exposed to violent or distorted contents, and they would imitate these patterns through learning from observations. As a result, punishing young criminals as adults could allow them to have more time to think about their antisocial behaviors, resulting in protecting society and increasing trust in legal systems.＋

On the other hand, it would be impolitic to overlook the drawbacks of this idea. From a social perspective, young criminals experiencing the same punishments as adults may lead to an increase in the reoffending rate. This is because when they come back from prisons, it may be harder for them to integrate into daily life. As their basic human rights could be strictly under restriction by the governments, and people would have more prejudice towards them. As a result, since young criminals would believe that they had paid a price for their mistakes, they could become more stressful and increase resentment towards society, and criminal activities would be justified.＋

To summarize, although this view has certain benefits, including protecting society and increasing trust in legal systems, I believe that a mixed approach would be more desirable.
