The diagram illustrates the ground floor of a library in 2001 and its redevelopment in 2009. Overall, the most significant change to the library was the reallocation of tables area and bookshelf area focus on display a wider range of genres, along with some addition of amenities. In 2001, self-help and history occupied the entire left-hand side of the library. In the later years, however, this area was divided into six smaller sections, namely Law, Economics, Kitchen, Self-help, Fiction, and History. At the lower section, a Librarian’s desk was located right in front of the Entrance, adjacent to the Stairs on the lower right, these were later remained unchanged. Regarding the upper section of the library, the former Fiction area was later repurposed into new tables area in 2009, alongside the new children’s area was introduced. Similarly, the Newspaper and Periodicals section gave way to Films and DVDs area, and a new Computers sections appeared right below the reading area. Additionally, the old single tables in the middle part of the library were replaced with longer tables.
