The diagram depicts the layout of a library in 2001 and its renovation in 2009. Overall, the most significant change to the library was the reallocation of table area and bookshelf section with a focus on displaying a wider range of genres, along with some addition of amenities. In 2001, self-help and history occupied the entire left-hand side of the library. In the later years, however, this area was divided into six smaller sections, namely Law, Economics, Kitchen, Self-help, Fiction, and History. At the lower section, a Librarian’s desk was located right in front of the Entrance, adjacent to the Stairs on the lower right, this section later remained unchanged. Regarding the upper section of the library, the former Fiction area was later repurposed into new tables section in 2009, and a the new children’s area was introduced. Similarly, the Newspaper and Periodicals section gave way to Films and DVDs zone, and a new Computers section appeared directly beneath the reading space. Additionally, the old single tables in the middle part of the library were replaced with longer tables.
