＋There is a common belief that parenting skills should be taught in schools to the young.. I totally agree with this view for its benefits on the future generation and the current young generation itself.

Admittedly, the opponents of this proposal may well argue that academic institutions, such as high schools, colleges, or universities, should only emphasize on academic subjects, namely Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering, due to its importance and usefulness in applying for further studying, creating an environment conducive to long-term career and financial stability when they become adults and thrive in such fields. However, their argument glosses over the fact that as an adult, becoming good parents is equally all-important, especially when they get married and have a baby. To be more specific, individuals equipped with parenting abilities can avoid being confused when they teach their children as good parents can be provided with several techniques of how to raise, grow, and educate their children at a very young age to allow them behave better. To exemplify, necessary parenting skills, like active listening and positive reinforcement, should be integrated into conventional syllabuses of every school to enable students to acknowledge the importance of good parents as role models for their children, thereby behaving properly and responsibly towards their babies. As a result, children’s overall well-being in a nurturing environment can be developed, allowing them to be obedient while their parents continuously foster their independence and confidence through communication, sharing, and education.

Indeed, parenting skills taught in school are not only beneficial for the future babies of young individuals but also the young themselves. By learning those knowledge at school, young learners can recognize their parents’ effort in raising them. By way of illustration, students, particularly the ones not taking their mothers and fathers serious while prioritizing other relationships, must acquire these skills so that they can acknowledge their parents’ attempts in growing them, such as feeding them with nutritious meals since they were little, paying their tuition fees without complaining, and hoping them stay with their best behaviour. Through being taught about parenting skills at school, those students can understand that being parents is not easy, especially good parents, as their sacrifices are priceless and invaluable. Therefore, young people can behave more obediently, express more gratitude and show their respect towards their parents.

＋In conclusion, teaching parenting skills at school can help students learn more about the important role of parents in society, especially allowing them to become good parents. Therefore, I strongly agree with this proposal for its merit.
