Some people believe that formal education is enough to prepare young people for their future careers, while others think that lifelong learning is more important. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. These days, lifelong education seems to be increasingly discussed on a global scale. While some people assume that sole formal education program is adequate for the outlook, future of teenager, others hold belief that lifelong learning plays an indispensable role in students’ lives. Personally, I partly agree with the latter idea since it provides fundamental knowledge, however, lifelong education seems to be my priority. Apparently, academic program is an integral part in the life of a student, it provides rudimentary knowledge about the way math is born, the glamourous history of their nation or the reproduction process of human. Initially, formal education has been proved to provide valuable and rudimentary knowledge about life to students. Nowadays, schools are teaching and introducing students with many new, cutting-edged knowledge which did not exist in the past. It can be the civil war of a country or the weather, geographic condition. This are the integral knowledge which lay groundwork for the higher-level education as well as the outlook for jobs, occupations. Moreover, formal education is pivotal since most friendships stem from there. Most people have been proved unlike to actively make friends when they see strangers, however, at schools, things seem to have significantly changed mostly due to their daily unification. Consequently, teenagers can possibly have more friends, even best friends and steady, long-term partners in work and study which will enable them to be confident and more open—minded in work and study. However, lifelong learning has been proved to be an indispensable part in a person’s life. In the modern era, everything is digitalized and changing extremely rapidly which requires a certain amount of knowledge to thrive in the bustle and hustle of city’s life. Therefore, lifelong learning seems to be increasingly vital in the modern world. One of the most undeniable benefits of lifelong study is that it helps both teenagers and elderly to keep up with the rapid flow of life, to update every news around the world and to become active in absorbing knowledge. Nowadays, with the development and assistance of artificial intelligence, the work of learning and memorizing new information seem to be easier and more feasible than ever. Formal education can help lay the groundwork for further knowledge absorbing, while permanent education will prevent both the young and the elderly to be obsolete and outdated, consequently can be extremely confident at every ages. In conclusion, even though formal education plays an integral role in providing students with the fundamental knowledge, life long learning seems to have more benefits in nourishing people well-being and knowledge regardless of age. However, I personally think people should combine formal education with lifelong learning since it will help construct confidence, stability in knowledge as well as the ability to be updated about life around themselves.
