Subsequently, the purified syngas is supplied to a gas turbine with the lag, which drives a generator to produce electricity. At the same time, the hot exhaust gases released from the gas turbine are directed to a heat recovery steam generator, where steam is produced. Finally, the steam powers a steam turbine connected to another generator, generating additional electricity.
