The provided diagram illustrates the process of producing electricity from coal and oxygen. Overall, the process comprises mutiple stages, starting with the transportation of raw materials to furnace and ending with the generation of electrical power through two separate systems. As can be observed, coal is transported by a conveyor belt and, together with oxygen, is fed into the furnace. Inside the furnace, the coal undergoes gasification, producing raw syngas and slag, the latter of which is discharged as a by-product. The raw syngas is then transferred to a removal unit, where carbon dioxide, mercury and sulphur are extracted, resulting in purified syngas. Subsequently, the purified syngas is supplied to a gas turbine with the lag, which drives a generator to produce electricity. At the same time, the hot exhaust gases released from the gas turbine are directed to a heat recovery steam generator, where steam is produced. Finally, the steam powers a steam turbine connected to another generator, generating additional electricity.
