Today, many citizens think that increasing fuel prices is an effective choice to protect the environment. In my perspective, I partly agree with this idea as I think encouraging people to use electric vehicles is also a reasonable selection.

On the one hand, putting up the price of gas will make residents limit travelling by private vehicles and switch to public transportation like buses or subways to reduce greenhouse gases. Furthermore, increasing the price of fuel encourages many companies to find solutions by investing in biofuels as environmentally friendly alternatives. For example, in Vietnam, the government replaces petrol with biofuel E10 and encourages people to use it by making it cheaper. This policy not only helps to prevent climate change and mitigate pollution for urban citizens but also cuts down on costs for people.On the other hand, I believe that raising fuel prices is not the best solution. First of all, putting up petrol prices also increases the cost of living, creating hardships for poor individuals. Instead, the government should encourage residents to use electric vehicles rather than petrol-powered vehicles. In addition, today many families often set up solar panels to create electricity, so if citizens use electric vehicles, it not only saves money but is also environmentally friendly and reduces carbon emissions. Furthermore, schools can enhance awareness through practical projects.＋

In conclusion, although raising fuel prices can effectively reduce gas emissions, I believe that promoting electric vehicles and environmental education are much better and more sustainable solutions in the long run.
