The table compares the demographic groups participating in the marathon between 2008 and 2012. Overall, most age categories exhibited an upward trend throughout the period. In 2008, the 18-39 age group stood at 1200, significantly higher than people aged above 40, whose figure was 800. In the following two years, those in the 18-39 bracket experienced substantial growth, increasing from 1200 to 1500, while the above 40 age group also rose, with its figure climbing more gradually by 100 participants. Individuals aged 18-39 continued to surge to 1750 by the end of the timeframe, thereby retaining their position as the dominant category of participation. Meanwhile, people aged over 40 increased considerably to 1050 by 2012, but remained well below the levels observed in the 18-39 age bracket. Thanks to the massive increases in the number of people who engaged in the marathon, the total number of participants jumped impressively from only 2000 in the first examined year to 2800 in 2012.
