AI IELTS Speaking scoring for Part 1, 2 and 3 topics

This is a bank of IELTS Speaking topics for Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. Filter by topic group, choose the Standard set by book number or the general topic bank, then open a topic to start. You record your answers right in the browser, and when you finish, the AI grades the whole Part you just spoke. Can't find your topic? Add it with the Use my own topic button.

Scoring follows the four IELTS Speaking criteria: Fluency & Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range & Accuracy, and Pronunciation. The result shows a band for each criterion and an overall band, a transcript with vocabulary and grammar mistakes marked and corrected, suggestions for building complex sentences, and a sample script. You can also run a syllable-level pronunciation check on each answer.

There are two modes: Exam mode keeps the real test timing, while Practice mode lets you choose extra speaking time. You can pick the examiner's voice and jot down notes during the session. If a question type is new to you, build the individual skills on the Speaking Skills page first, then come back for full topics.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3?

Part 1 (4–5 minutes) asks about you and familiar topics, so keep answers short, clear and backed by a reason. Part 2 gives you a task card: one minute to prepare, then one to two minutes of speaking that covers every point on the card. Part 3 (4–5 minutes) widens the Part 2 topic into more general questions where you give opinions, compare and add examples.

  • What do I need before recording?

Use a headset mic, find a quiet spot and allow the browser to use your microphone. Speak naturally, as you would to an examiner. If a recording is too short or no voice is detected, you will be asked to record again.

  • Does Speaking grading cost anything?

Each grading uses credits from the wallet you share with Writing; the Free plan has 30 credits a month. Syllable-level pronunciation checks use credits per answer. The Speaking plan grades Speaking and pronunciation without limits. The Pricing page lists the cost of each action.

  • Is the AI band the same as a real test score?

The AI follows the public IELTS Band Descriptors and points to specific mistakes so you can check them, but the band is an estimate for practice and does not replace an official score. It is most useful for comparing attempts at the same type of question to see which criteria are improving.
